The Nibeley Stud
Welcome to our new website. It has been a long time coming, but I am not a computer whizz kid, and having just mastered how to update the old website, I am told its out of date and we need a more modern one! So, I boldly agreed to change it, only to find that I am landed with having to learn what seemed as difficult as a new language, all over again. So I apologise for the long wait.
This is the home of Nibeley Union Jack and for all intense and purposes, it may as well be 'HIS', Stud as he is the main reason that most people have heard of us. This is him below giving one of his special looks.
Our aim here at The Nibeley Stud is to breed and produce Sport horses, mainly Dressage horses which are of a high enough calibre, that they are capable of competing at the very highest levels.
We try to use some of the very best bloodlines, but for us, a lot more goes into the melting pot before we choose a stallion for a particular mare. We virtually took out a mortgage to aquire the mares which we breed from today, and every mare has certain qualities that we feel are very important in producing the type of foals required for top level dressage. Our bloodlines include Donnerhall, Sandro Hit, Diamond Hit, Weltmeyer, De Niro, Rotspon, Neostan, Conto, Karandasj, Negro, Rhondeo, Goshka Ringo and it goes on ..............
In 2006 we decided to try embryo transfer with three of our best mares and in 2007 we were lucky enough to have six beautiful healthy foals born by embryo transfer. Please read about it on our stud pages.
We also have a passion for Welsh Cobs as they have such presence and beauty, but more than that, they can move with such extravagance, it takes your breath away. Our cobs are just a hobby but we are just as fussy about the way they move, look, conformation and bloodlines as we are about our Dressage horses. For the last three years we have concentrated on breeding palominos of distinction, and we will have a beautiful palomino stallion, homebred, to stand at stud in 2009. Sometimes we have one or two youngsters for sale.
We also love our dogs here at the stud and wouldn't/couldn't be without them. We have bred Dobermans for the last 12 years but have stopped now partly due to the docking laws, we also have a rare black pointer. She is stunning! Shes classy and elegant and we plan to breed from her so please look out for our puppies for sale page.
Please browse through my web pages, and I hope you enjoy looking at the horses we have bred, and reading about their progress.
